What Is Hoodoo

Hoodoo at its core, is an African American tradition it  is a Black Christian Religious folk magic, but it is not itself a religion. Many practitioners are not christians, but still love the belief system and use the Psalms from the Bible in hoodoo workings. Hoodoo go by many names tricking, root~work, using that stuff, helping yourself, throwing, cleaning up that mess, candle burning and spiritual~work. Hoodoo doesn’t have the barriers that other magical practices have—there’s just the work, and how you use it is up to you. Hoodoo is its own practice with its own rules. 

Conjure is African~AmerIcan folk magic that consist of Divination, Root Work, Healing with roots, mineral, herbs, candles and curios. 

A Root~Worker is a man or woman who has working knowledge of roots, herbs, minerals, curios and their various use. People seek them out for work, spiritual assistance and divination when everyday life conditions has become overwhelming or they are unable to resolve the condition on their own.
